Thanks to you, we just donated $500 to queer nonprofits for Pride Month!! AND you could still make a big difference, here’s why.
Margie’s Hope, Cleveland’s resource organization and clothing store for trans and nonbinary people, put out a call for help. They’ve lost sponsors since 2025 and have stood up against the Cleveland Clinic’s transphobic deal with U.S. DOJ.
- Now they’re fundraising to protect their storefront on W 117th Street, so you can donate to their GoFundMe, which is at 45% of goal! On behalf of Out Fitness, I donated $100.
- If you can’t donate right now, share this story with someone you know.
Before that, I had pledged $1 for every June workout to The Out Foundation, a national nonprofit with a mission (and name) perfectly aligned with ours to support fitness for LGBTQ+ people. (Details here.) I’m working with them on a very cool partnership, so stay tuned.
We had 248 workouts in June! But I had set aside up to $400, so I rounded way up and donated that to The Out Foundation. Then the Margie’s Hope fundraiser came my way…and it’s such a worthy cause, so I stretched us to another $100.
- That makes $2 donated for every workout you completed in Pride Month 2026!
I’d thought about pledging the additional $100 for Margie’s Hope as a dollar-for-dollar match with everyone… But I think urgency and momentum are more important for them, so if you can, donate to Margie’s right now.
Thank you for making these good things possible for Out Fitness and beyond! This $500 is double our Pride month donations made last year, and it’s so meaningful to be able to support our LGBTQ+ siblings.
