We now have a new Peloton spin bike and the library of Peloton workout classes, thanks to a SUPER generous donation by our neighbor Susan!
Test them out and let me know how well they work for you!
For the spin bike, we will get pedal cages soon so that you can try riding in your sneakers. Otherwise, if you already own delta clip-in shoes, you can cycle in those.
The wake button for the bike is on the back of its screen.
For using the Peloton workout library, the Peloton app is now active on both the bike’s screen and our Strength Room’s TV!
There are tons of workout classes, not just spinning. Check out their strength and yoga classes when you’re in the Strength Room. (Most strength classes seem to use light dumbbells, but Reddit says you can find some that use medium dumbbells and a bench.)
On both devices, everyone can use the account “outfitness.” Our membership allows up to 20 accounts, so if you will use the Peloton classes consistently, you can sign up for an account. Accounts are free to create! Our membership that activates the bike and TV app is not.
Also, if you find you really enjoy the spin classes, I highly recommend you check out our friends Everybody Cycle. They are LGBTQ-owned, located just down the street, and have beginner-friendly classes with a free first ride.
Excited to hear how everyone feels about these Peloton options!
