Ways to help Out đź’›

I should be better at asking for help from our community! If you didn’t know, Out Fitness is a passion project of mine, separate from my full-time job. Everyone chips in by paying and cleaning, but all admin and maintenance are done by me.

Here are some “nice to have” tasks that I haven’t had much time to continue or delegate. If anything interests you, reply or DM me so I can send you instructions!

  • Plan a coffee meetup and post it here in Events
  • Pick up and refill snacks – I’ll reimburse you
  • Vacuum dirty spots in studio
  • Reach out to personal trainers who are LGBTQ+ to train at our studio
  • Other suggestions welcome, too

Hi! My partner and I certainly don’t mind helping keep the floors clean and stocking up snacks when we can when we noticed when things are looking a little dirty or running low. Quick question: is there a buffer time between private sessions so that we could spend some of the time doing a quick clean before exercising?

Thank you, and good question!! There is exactly 15 minutes of buffer between sessions. So if you’re able to arrive 10 minutes early or stay 10 minutes late to help a little, while still leaving a 5-minute buffer to respect the next guest’s privacy, I would be so grateful.

I moved our larger vacuum out of storage and to the end of the hallway, so it’s easy to find and return! There’s also the smaller hand vac in the strength room. Thank you to anyone who spends a minute vacuuming!
